Why dbNexia

Monitoring shows signals. Operations decides what happens next.

Database teams rarely lack data. They lack a reliable way to decide whether the data is complete, which risk matters first, who owns it and how to prove the fix worked.

dbNexia connects source health, operational evidence, action policy and reporting so every investigation starts with context instead of another dashboard.

The operating workflow

A closed loop from evidence to proof.

Every step in the product answers a different operational question.

01

Can we trust the data?

Status and Data Quality expose connectivity, freshness, missing sources and blind spots before a green result is accepted.

Status · Data Quality
02

What matters first?

Action Center ranks backup, storage, job, runtime, concurrency, query and telemetry-gap signals by severity and score.

Action Center · Alert Rules
03

What is the evidence?

Open the matching workload, health, forecast, incident, backup or raw report view and keep the technical context visible.

Health · Workload · Reports
04

What should we do?

Use the named owner, SLA, runbook and recommended action. Execution remains role- and permission-gated.

05

Did the risk move?

Refresh the evidence owner, confirm the signal disappeared or downgraded, and retain the result for review.

ACOperational priority

Action Center makes the queue explainable.

Every open signal can carry severity, score, category, owner, SLA, source page, meaning, impact, recommended fix and verification guidance.

Identify the lead blocker and transaction pattern before intervention.

DQEvidence confidence

Data Quality catches silent gaps.

Coverage is checked across audit, size, runtime, job, backup, live request, server metric, temporary space and storage sources.

WLWorkload analysis

Investigate the workload, not just utilization.

Review waits, Query Store regressions, live requests, plan cache, blocking, deadlocks, missing indexes and stale statistics.

  • Database and query scope
  • Evidence-first recommendations
  • Role-gated fixes
BRRecovery readiness

Make backup risk visible.

Compare SQL full, differential and log history—or Oracle RMAN evidence—against selected recovery policies and source confidence.

FCForward view

Forecast before storage becomes an incident.

Use file history, live file state, volume or tablespace telemetry and workload signals to identify days-to-risk and preventive work.

RPProfessional reporting

Turn technical evidence into a decision-ready review.

Build weekly executive, monthly estate, incident and backup-board reports from selected scope, policy and evidence groups. Export immediately or save a scheduled delivery.

Evidence-first guidance

Recommendations remain connected to the technical facts.

dbNexia does not hide database evidence behind a health score. A DBA can move from the prioritized signal to the source page, review the underlying row or event, take an approved action and verify the same evidence again.

Critical · 90Runtime

Error pulse detected

Repeated runtime failures may indicate active service degradation.

Meaning
The failing workload is colliding with another transaction or waiting on an inefficient path.
Recommended fix
Open blocking and long-running evidence for the same window before changing the job or query.
Verify
Test again and confirm the blocking or deadlock signal no longer appears in the selected window.

Platform-aware coverage

One operating model, adapted to each database platform.

dbNexia does not pretend every database exposes the same telemetry or supports the same actions.

Deployment & control

The application and operational metadata stay on-prem.

The web application, admin database, encrypted connection metadata, users, alert rules and report schedules run inside your environment. Registered database targets are reached from that control plane.

  • Windows host with IIS or Windows Service
  • Separate Reader, Moderator and Admin boundaries
  • Target-specific monitoring and optional action rights
  • Always-running host for scheduled reports

Common questions

Technical clarity before a sales call.

Understand deployment, permissions and platform boundaries before deciding whether dbNexia fits.

Browse the complete FAQ →
Does dbNexia replace SSMS or Oracle administration tools?

No. It provides the evidence, prioritization, controlled workflow and reporting layer around hands-on administration tools.

Is anything installed in Azure SQL or Oracle?

No dbNexia schema package is installed in Azure SQL. Oracle is registered read-only by default with no tables, packages, jobs or schemas installed.

Can visitors execute actions in the public demo?

No. Visitors can inspect the evidence and action model, while operational changes require an authorized Moderator or Admin role and the required target permissions.

How do scheduled reports run?

The on-prem application background service processes schedules. The host must remain running; the browser does not send scheduled mail.
